The Small Business Administration will be closing its Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Program in the coming days, but it will be awarding follow-up grants to eligible small businesses – giving some hard-hit businesses a chance for more Covid-19 relief funding.
The SBA said on Wednesday its application portal will close to new applications after Friday, August 20, 2021. The SVOG program has so far awarded $8.4 billion in grants to 10,800 small businesses and nonprofits, far less than the $16 billion Congress authorized for the program.
