Firefighters doused a three-acre grass fire Tuesday along C-470 near West Alameda Parkway.
The fire burned just west of C-470, west of the highway and south of Alameda.
West Metro Fire Rescue said that two small fires were sparked from the roadway, and that the two fires joined in very dry conditions. The fire department said, however, that the “cause is undetermined.”
Fire danger has been high for the past couple of days & this fire along C470 @ Alameda this afternoon shows what can happen when conditions are dry. Two small fires, sparked from the roadway, that grew into one fire of less than 3 acres. Cause is undetermined. pic.twitter.com/6KcWUun0CT
