A 63-year-old man was killed while he was walking along County Road 464.
The man was killed while he was walking in the outside, westbound lane on County Road 464, just west of SE 79th Avenue Road on Wednesday, August 4, around 9:17 p.m.
According to an FHP report, he was hit by a Nissan Rogue driven by a 54-year-old Ocklawaha woman.
That vehicle was traveling westbound on County Road 464 just west of SE 79th Avenue in the outside travel lane when it collided with the pedestrian.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene by Marion County Fire Rescue. His identity was not released, according to Florida Highway Patrol policy.
