We warmed back up today after finally drying out from the unsettled weather Tuesday and Wednesday. The sunshine and SW breeze helped warm us up to near or slightly above Eau Claire's average high of 81.
There wasn't any humidity, however, with dew points again comfortably in the 40s and 50s. That will change, however, as a low pressure system brings storm chances tomorrow along with high humidity. Dew points at times will be in the upper 60s so it'll feel quite uncomfortable, and high humidity will continue through much of next week after a bit of a dip Saturday.
Our attention is focused more on tomorrow's thunderstorms, however. A round or two of scattered thunderstorms is likely in the morning tomorrow, and that could bring a few strong to severe storms. Though the risk for severe weather is highest in eastern and southeastern Wisconsin, we could still see a few storms bring severe hail and straight line wind gusts.
Again, the best chances look to arrive in the morning through midday, but there is also a slight chance for some isolated storms popping up again in the afternoon before exiting by evening.
The humidity won't be too bad for Saturday and Sunday as we dry out, but it will be warm again with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Showers and thunderstorm chances return Sunday night and last on and off through much of next week with very high humidity along with the warmer temperatures. It'll certainly feel like the end of June/start of July!
