NEW YORK, June 11, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Is American society doomed to economic failure?
To find the answer, author Daniel Gray challenged himself to find scenarios where this could happen. About 15 years ago, while writing Follow the Money: Path to Our Inevitable Economic Ruin or End of Global Poverty, he put together a plan with a number of events that could only lead to the end of our way of life.

"The point of the book was to create a step-by-step process how to stop my plan from destroying America. Unfortunately, everything I wrote since it was published in 2015 is happening now," said Gray.
You can see a trailer of the last chapter of his book in a video called How to Destroy America: The Final Chapter on YouTube Channel Daniel Gray Solves Some Stuff.
Gray has discovered that America continues to have several threats and weaknesses that can be exploited. These weaknesses can be avoided if people take these threats seriously. A major threat he sees is the flow of wealth.
The weakest points in the economy are the very rich. Much of the nation's wealth is passing through the hands of these people, who are effectively shaping the future of the country. These people seem to be more interested in making profits than improving the state of the nation.
"If I were going to destroy the economy, my primary target would be these people. Another choke point that could cripple the economy is healthcare spending, which accounted for 17.4 percent of U.S. GDP in 2013 and is expected to reach 19.6 percent by 2024," said Gray.
This represents a health care crisis. In a few short years, 20 cents of every dollar will be spent on healthcare.
Healthcare spending is also not equally distributed across the nation, making some areas poorer and creating relative deflationary zones.
The current pandemic has substantially increased healthcare spending -- one of the steps that Gray surmised would collapse the economy. During the current nation-wide healthcare crisis, Gray also foresaw investors selling off healthcare stocks.
Consequently, the rich who have invested in these defensive healthcare stocks are seeing their fortunes eroded by plunging markets. Health insurance companies will also need to increase premiums or go out of business.
These events have also scared the rich from spending money in the country. The current situation has also created an environment where minorities are being laid-off at a higher rate than anyone else.
Gray also believes that congress should be looking at the real threats to our economy and stop fighting over tax breaks and food stamps.
"Technology is just one threat causing global poverty. Driverless cars for example are just around the corner putting taxi drivers and chauffeurs out of work. This could lead to a decrease in U.S. economic activity by $531 million," said Gray.
About Author Daniel Gray

Follow the Money also asks the question if there's really an end to global poverty? Every generation has put forth a prescription for handling poverty unfortunately every antidote has been a miserable failure.
Follow the Money looks at the history of these failures. If the causes of these failures aren't addressed than we are headed for a catastrophic economic collapse. As you read the book you'll discover:
- The U.S. was almost destroyed twice by technology.
- America suffered more than 20 major financial crashes since its founding.
- Technology that can cause a cataclysmic economic collapse is already upon us.
- There is an alternative to the current banking system.
- The future for you and your children may be a new form of slavery.
"If you're concerned what the future holds for yourself and your family and if there's a solution to global poverty, then this book is for you," said Gray.
