A rendering of the proposed new Cleveland police headquarters.
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland police’s new headquarters, slated for the Kinsman neighborhood along the nearly complete Opportunity Corridor, will be a 187,000 square-foot building that distinguishes itself from the neighboring buildings with its large blue metal panels, according to plans submitted to a city board.
A presentation submitted to the city’s East Design Review Committee shows that design firms Dewberry and JMT planned for the entrance of the four-story headquarters to face East 75th Street with a slogan prominently displayed on an overhang above the doors. The L-shaped building would be surrounded by multiple gardens open to the public.
