There are a few storms rolling through this evening, but stronger storms are expected to form overnight. The threat for overnight severe weather from the Storm Prediction Center is for the possibility of scattered severe thunderstorms.
The threats include straight line wind gusts and large hail, though a few hailstones could be larger, meaning they're more likely to cause damage if they form. Besides the few evening storms, the stronger ones look to hold off until after 9pm, and will be most likely from 11pm through 4am.
A few showers or storms could linger into the morning tomorrow before clearing out. A few more may form in the evening, though the chance is higher to our northeast. This happens as a warm front slowly moves through.
Temperatures will be warmest on Wednesday, when highs in the low 90s are possible. Dew points will continue to be in the mid to upper 60s, meaning it will feel like the mid to upper 90s on Wednesday afternoon.
A cold front starts to move in Thursday, with showers and thunderstorms most likely Thursday night into early Friday before humidity and clouds decrease. This should set us up for a beautiful weekend, which happens to be the last weekend in August, as September starts next Tuesday.
