The Wilson Times area is forecast to feel some effects from the combination of Hurricane Laura’s remnants and a cold front Saturday, but Sunday and most of Monday promise plenty of sunshine and lower humidity.
The track of Laura’s now low pressure system should be across central Virginia, entering that state from the west before sunrise and going offshore by early evening. The later in the afternoon it’s positioned close to us, the more likely a few of the thunderstorms in our area could achieve severe status.
By Sunday morning, both systems should have completely cleared the coast. The result will be bright sunshine and low humidity.
There is a minimal chance of any precipitation Sunday.
High temperatures Saturday will likely reach 90, but Sunday and Monday are expected to hold in the mid-80s. Saturday’s overnight low will stall at 70 but drop to the mid- to upper 60s overnight Sunday.
