Polish forces on Tuesday fired water cannons at migrants along the country’s border with Belarus as thousands of people gathered for days in the area attempted to reach the European Union, a brewing crisis that has been blamed on Belarusian dictator Lukashenko’s regime.

Footage of the incident shared by Polish authorities showed loudspeakers ordering migrants at the border to follow orders and stop throwing objects at the Polish forces, Reuters reported.
The video purportedly shows migrants throwing bottles and other objects at the border fence and the soldiers stationed in the area while also trying to break through the fence.
Poland’s interior ministry said at least one policeman was seriously injured in the clashes and has been hospitalized with a suspected fractured skull.
