Scattered showers overnight; Cold nights to follow - KTTC

poloong.blogspot.com

Scattered showers will continue across the area for Thursday evening extending into early Friday morning. Some areas could pick up another 0.10-0.25" overnight. Rain will become much more scattered after midnight.

Rainfall amounts area-wide have fallen between 0.50-1.00" for most locations which is great news since we've been so dry all Spring long! The latest reading at RST was just under 1". As of 4:30 p.m, we had 1" of rainfall on the weather patio at KTTC. We'll keep updating these numbers through the night.

The next two nights look a little concerning temperature-wise. Overnight lows will drop into the middle 30s on both Thursday and Friday nights. I don't think frost will be a major concern Thursday night because we'll have cloudy skies with isolated showers and winds will be strong enough to keep frost from forming. However, if you have plants that are sensitive to cold temperatures, it might be smart to bring them inside or try to cover them the next two nights. Frost will be possible Friday night into Saturday morning.

Temperatures will warm into the middle 60s this weekend with sunny skies. Overnight lows will stay steady in the upper 40s both Saturday and Sunday nights. We'll work in a chance of isolated shower Monday afternoon/evening with highs approaching 70°. Highs next week will be in the middle and lower 70s.
