Five days of high school basketball tournament games begin this morning with girls' semifinal games at Target Center.

Today's schedule has games in Class 1A, 2A and 3A. Click on links for score updates and postgame reports:

1A:

Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 51, Sleepy Eye St. Mary's 50

Alissa Knight scored 15 points and Josie Knutson scored 13 to help Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa outlast Sleepy Eye St. Mary's 51-50 in the first Class 1A semifinal Tuesday at Target Center.

The Jaguars (23-1) led by six points with three minutes remaining but the Knights pulled within one with 25 seconds left. Knutson made three free throws in the final 21 seconds to give the Jaguars a four-point lead.

A three-pointer by Madison Mathiowetz with one second left got the Knights within one. Mathiowetz scored 23 to lead the Knights (23-1).

Minneota 54, Mountain Iron-Buhl 53

Abby Hennen's free throw with 2.1 seconds left lifted Minneota to a 54-53 victory over Mountain Iron-Buhl in a Class 1A semifinalon Tuesday at Target Center.

Hennen's free throw came after Minneota got the ball back with six seconds left. After a timeout, Hennen got the ball at mid-court and drove to the basket and was fouled. She missed thefirst throw but, aftera timeout, converted the second.

The free throw capped a game-ending 7-0 run for the Vikings (24-0), who trailed by six, 53-47, with 2:30 left.
