ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - UPDATE: A suspect has been arrested.
A continued police presence and road closure will remain present as authorities work the case, according to the Town of Blacksburg.
UPDATE: Blacksburg Police say they received a report Sunday of a suspicious incident/person in the 2100 block of N. Main Street. The man ran away on foot.
A detour is available for residents in the area through the neighborhood (Vinyard Ave. over to Woodbine Dr.).
Blacksburg Police, Blacksburg Fire, Virginia Tech Police, the Virginia State Police and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are all assisting with the case.
EARLIER: Police have closed N. Main St. in Blacksburg from Vinyard Ave. through Woodbine Drive as they work a scene. They are asking people to avoid the area.
