A storm pouring large amounts of rainfall on the Central Coast is flooding roads throughout the region, forcing many to close.
In San Luis Obispo, San Luis Bay Dr. is closed from Highway 101 to Monte Rd. However, some drivers plowed their way through the rising waters.
Yeah, this is NOT what you are supposed to do when roads are flooded and closed. While we’ve been out on San Luis Bay Dr, many drivers are turning around... but we saw one drive across the flooded roadway to get to Monte Rd. pic.twitter.com/HU1tNbOKN7

The closure started just before 8 a.m. Thursday morning.
Just south, flood waters also closed major thoroughfares in the Santa Maria-Guadalupe area.
Near Orcutt, Caltrans closed down Highway 1 between Solomon Rd. and Black Rd. That closure may last most of the day.
Black Rd. is also closed at the Stowell intersection in Santa Maria.
Flooding is forcing the on-and-off closure of Highway 1 near Guadalupe at Dominion Rd.
In Morro Bay, South Bay Blvd. from Quintana Road to Lower State Park Road and Quintana Road from Choro Creek Road to South Bay Blvd. were impacted by flood waters.
Current Storm system has created driving hazards on South Bay BLVD (SBB) today. SBB will be closed from Quintana Rd in Morro Bay to Los Osos and Lower State Park at Morro Bay State Park. Crews will monitor this situation throughout the day. Access to trailers are open. pic.twitter.com/jsFqFhQckb
