It may be a new year, but the Patriots have plenty of lingering injuries from 2020.
Damien Harris, David Andrews, and Shaq Mason were all ruled out for Sunday’s season finale against the Jets and 16 Patriots are questionable. With the two offensive linemen out, it’s likely that Joe Thuney will kick over the center with Michael Onwenu moving back to guard and Justin Herron getting a start at the vacant tackle position.
Inside linebacker will be the biggest question mark on Sunday afternoon. Bill Belichick’s defense is thin to begin with, and Ja’Whaun Bentley and Anfernee Jennings are both questionable while Josh Uche was placed on injured reserve Thursday.
