MADISON, Wis. — It’s official – Joe Biden has won the state of Wisconsin.
That call was made weeks ago, but now the chair of the Wisconsin Elections Commission has signed off on it and the governor has certified it.
Today I carried out my duty to certify the November 3rd election, and as required by state and federal law, I’ve signed the Certificate of Ascertainment for the slate of electors for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

Over the weekend tabulators in Dane County finished up recounting votes at the Monona Terrace and the county board of canvassers signed off.
Vote totals were largely unchanged with a net change of 45 votes in favor of the 45th president in Dane County, and the county clerk said there was no evidence of voter fraud.
“I think the people who were in this room saw what they wanted to see that the votes were counted correctly, that there wasn’t anything unusual,” said Scott McDonell. “But it’s hard to keep pace with internet rumors and things like that. It’s just one of the more difficult things at my job right now.”
President Donald Trump’s campaign has five days to file a lawsuit challenging the results, which it has said it plans to do.
Any lawsuit from them to be based on the same claims that brought the recount. In Dane County that meant a close look at clerk corrections to witness information, in-person absentee voting and anyone who marked that they are indefinitely confined.
