Do you still have an NBA Draft hangover? Too bad – take a cold shower, chug some coffee, and get ready for free agency!

While this 2020 free agent class may not be stuffed with the most eye-popping talent, there are still plenty of interesting players that could be on the move. Not to mention, a handful of teams who are fighting to take a competitive leap. The Chicago Bulls are one of those teams hoping to be back in the playoffs mix sometime soon. However, unless it’s via a couple of crazy trades, it’s unlikely we see much roster movement over the course of this free-agent period.

The Bulls enter Friday’s 5:00 p.m. CT start with little cap space. New front office leaders Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley will have only the mid-level exception ($9.2 million) and biannual exception ($3.6 million) at their disposal. The team is also on the brink of 14 guaranteed roster spots thanks to drafting Patrick Williams and extending a qualifying offer to Denzel Valentine.

With that in mind, Karnisovas made it clear in his post-draft interview that the Bulls would have to approach free agency as rather picky.

You never know what craziness can ensure in the NBA, though (especially with a new front office in the mix!).

We’ll keep you updated on everything that happening around the league in this post, so keep checking back here for more info!

•   Update (5:04): Goran Dragic was the first to announce he will return to the Miami Heat next season. The 34-year-old had a bounceback season with the Heat in 2019-20, and he played a major role in their run to the NBA Finals. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, he earned himself a two-year, $37.4 million deal. THAT. MAN. GOT. PAID.

•   Meyers Leonard is also reportedly staying in Miami (I-L-L).

•   UPDATE (5:11): Arturas Karnisovas may have taken his overseas smarts to the Windy City, but that hasn’t stopped the Nuggets from targeting an Argentinean sensation.
