WILLMAR — Crews work along U.S. Highway 12 in Willmar on Monday to conduct drilling operations for a future Minnesota Department of Transportation construction project. The drilling, which is taking place between Sixth Street Southeast and First Avenue, is anticipated to be finished by end of day on Wednesday
Environmental drilling is performed to gather samples that will identify the pavement and base layers for the future MnDOT project.
MnDOT cautions motorists that they might encounter lane closures and flagging operations during drilling and to plan for travel delays.
