ORLANDO, Fla. — Rain is continuing to fall in Central Florida Tuesday evening, Channel 9 certified meteorologist George Waldenberger said.
While the storms have mostly fallen apart, they’ve left behind widespread rain keeping Central Florida wet as we approach bedtime.
Some flooding was reported in Kissimmee, according to Waldenberger.

Waldenberger said it’s “as if a shield of rain is parked over Central Florida,” but much of it will break up into the night.
A few showers may linger through early morning, especially near the coast, Waldenberger said.
He said a wet Wednesday will follow, with rain being likely at any point in the day.

Areas of heavy rain and lightning will be an issue all day, with the highest chance mid-morning through afternoon.
However, dryer air returns by Memorial Day weekend.
