Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is not yet done taking a shot at the Golden State Warriors and talking about his “real estate” diss to them after their 2022 championship.
Morant couldn’t help but be confused why the Warriors were too concerned about what they did and said months and weeks ago even after winning the title. After all, if you’re the champions, you have nothing to say at all since winning speaks for itself.
At least for Morant, he wouldn’t care what his haters or opponents said if he just won a championship.
“If I won a championship, I wouldn’t think about no other team or what somebody said months ago,” Morant told Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report.
Ja Morant certainly makers a good point. Besides, by giving attention to their previous opponents, the Warriors did make it look like the Grizzlies have gotten some “real estate” in their minds.
To recall, it all started when Klay Thompson called out Jaren Jackson Jr. and the Grizzlies after the Warriors’ title win. The Dubs sharpshooter remembered JJJ’s “Strength in Numbers” tweet after Memphis took down Golden State in a game in the second round of the postseason, which certainly didn’t sit well with Klay.
Upon seeing the tweet, Morant had to respond and said the Grizzlies has a ton of “real estate” in their heads as they are living there rent-free. Warriors vet Draymond Green has since fired back at Morant and Memphis, though it remains to be seen how he’ll respond to Ja’s latest take this time around.
Clearly, however, Morant is not backing down in the war of words.
