NCFL (WCJB) -- In May, the Florida Department of Transportation will begin a resurfacing project along State Road 21.
The project will take place along a 6.5-mile stretch of road just north of Melrose to the Commercial Circle in Keystone Heights.
It will also widen the shoulder, and improve sidewalks and drainage.
The department hired Anderson Columbia Incorporated of Lake City to complete the $6.9 million project.
