Dale Johnson and Linda Richey spent part of Thursday, July 15, 2021, bobber fishing along the shore of the St. Louis River on Rice's Point in Duluth. The fish were active enough for the pair to blow through their 15 crawlers.
"They were hitting pretty good earlier," Johnson said. "We got out here about 9:30 a.m., and they were biting."
It was a nice start to the day for the duo as they sat in lawn chairs in the reflection of the Interstate Bridge before the heat of the afternoon worked into the area.
"Sounds like it could get pretty hot out later today," Johnson said.
