poloong.blogspot.com

The U.S. Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command is seeking information on companies capable of providing scientific, engineering and technical services in support of the lifecycle of training systems based on synthetic signature generation technology.

NAVSEA Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, will use the mentioned services to design, develop, test and maintain SSG-based simulation platforms, according to a request for information posted Wednesday.

Services will also support SSG trainers’ fabrication, integration and fleet implementation.

The RFI is for a follow-on requirement as the incumbent contractor, Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), performs work in Bethesda, Maryland, through December 2022. The company was awarded the Navy SSG trainer contract in June 2019 and has provided engineering, development, integration and other support services to the service branch since then.

NAVSEA will accept responses, questions, comments and completed market research questionnaires from potential offerors no later than Aug. 4.
