A motorist is 20 times more likely to be killed in a collision with a train than they would in a crash with another vehicle. That’s why it is so important to follow the rules.
The most common collisions happen when drivers or pedestrians choose to go around a safety barrier or when someone tries to race across the track in front of an oncoming train.
