A person was rushed to the hospital after being shot in the neck in Falls Township Tuesday afternoon.
The person was rushed by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. Their condition was unknown as of 4:30 p.m.
The shooting was discovered at 2:59 p.m. when a Falls Township detective came upon the victim in a vehicle on the side of Lincoln Highway at North Old Boulevard, police said.
A radio call went out and officers flooded the area. A car stop was made a short distance away and the suspected shooter was taken into custody, police said.
As of 4 p.m., officers were still searching the surrounding area for anyone else who may have been connected to the shooting and urged residents to stay inside.
The intersection of Lincoln Highway at North Old Boulevard was expected to be closed into Tuesday evening while the crime scene was being processed.
A sedan was in the brush off Lincoln Highway and was the center of attention for detectives from the township and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. A drone was being used to take overhead images of the car.
