CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has released the name of a man shot and killed on Garvins Falls Road on Tuesday.
Zackary Sullivan, 19, of Concord died due to a gunshot wound to the neck. According to an autopsy, his manner of death was homicide.
Michael Garrity, the director of communications for the attorney general’s office, said the circumstances of Sullivan’s death remained “active and ongoing,” and based on current information, “all parties have been identified and it does not appear that there is any ongoing threat to the public.”
Information about the case is limited. At around 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, police were sent to the area of the Dunkin’ Donuts on Manchester Street for a report of a shooting.

Police and fire and rescue teams were then sent to the scene. Zackary Sullivan was taken to Concord Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Rory Sullivan, one his brothers, was at the scene, spoke to police, and was also taken to the hospital, according to scanner chatter.
According to information gathered by dispatchers, Sullivan was reportedly shot at a home on Garvins Falls Road, closer toward the Pembroke town line, and made his way to Dunkin’s before police were called. Police spent several hours searching the area, including several homeless camps, for the shooting suspect.
Later in the evening, the Central New Hampshire Special Operations Unit, the city’s “SWAT” team, was activated and around 2 a.m. Wednesday, a suspect in the case was also taken into custody at a home on Garvins Falls Road.
The suspect name has not been released and it does not appear as if he has been charged.
According to Concord police, Zackary Sullivan was arrested on Jan. 7 on simple assault and criminal trespass charges.
While specifics about the arrest were unavailable, and it was unknown if the arrest was connected to the shooting case in any way, the charges were connected to an incident or investigation on Garvins Falls Road.
Thousands Raised Via GoFundMe Effort
A GoFundMe.com effort was set up on Wednesday for Alexis Cahill, “in loving memory of Zackary Sullivan.”
Shannon Shea, the organizer of the effort, said Zackary Sullivan was killed while he was with his brother, Rory Sullivan. Zackary Sullivan had recently expanded his successful car-detailing business, she said.
“Although Zack’s family will never recover from this horrific tragedy,” she wrote, “I’m hoping we can help them with the financial burdens of trying to get Zackary justice and give him the memorial he deserves. If you can’t financially contribute, please pray for peace and comfort to be with Zack's family.”
More than $4,200 was raised in the first seven hours, surpassing the initial goal of $3,000.
Bullet Shot Through Home Before Sullivan Was Killed
About 45 minutes before the shooting on Garvins Falls Road, Concord police were sent to the home of George and Phyllis Gregoire, at the corner of Airport Road and Old Turnpike Road, for a report of their home being shot at.
Phyllis called 911 and reported hearing “a loud bang,” and a picture frame fell. When she picked up the frame, it was cracked, and there was damage to the wall behind it. She called police a few minutes later.
Police arrived, closed off the intersection, and began searching for shell casings. One officer confirmed there was a bullet hole on the side of the home.
Concord police did not return requests for comment about the investigation on Airport Road on Wednesday.
The Gregoire’s home is about three miles from where Zackary Sullivan was shot. It is unknown if the incidents were connected. But it explains why the intersection was closed off to traffic on Tuesday night not long before the shooting.
George, who is “The Waving Man of Concord,” will be out again on Thursday, waving to residents.
