{p}Richland School District Two officials say they have been breaking the law in the past by allowing crossing guards to direct traffic. Now that they are aware of the statute they prohibit it and say they have to follow the law.{/p}{p}{/p}

{p}School officials say they have reached out to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department for help with traffic control but were told they didn't have the staff to permanently designate deputies to regulating traffic during those times.{/p}{p}{/p}
