FRAZIER PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- Crews are battling a brush fire burning along the 5 Freeway north of Frazier Park in Kern County as hot, dry conditions grip the region.
Flames are coming dangerously close to traffic along a stretch of the freeway at Grapevine Road as firefighters try to stop them from spreading further.
The blaze, dubbed the Shell Fire, broke out Sunday afternoon and has burned at least 700 acres, according to Cal Fire. It is 2% contained.
